cartoon

 To translate:

"Don't think.  If you think, you will hesitate.  So, the moment you think, you've lost the game."

It's a scene from a famous cartoon series in Korea, 26 years.  The series depicts victims of Gwangju about 26 years ago.  The mastermind behind the incident, or riot or revolution depending on your perspective, had served as the President of Korea for the full term.

I'm not trying to be political here.  This cartoon had been last updated September 12, 2006.  The author had said that the series would end with the next, and final, installment.  It was supposed to end around September 15 or so.  Also, it is rumored that he has contracted to make a movie out of the story.  He had a history of making movie out of a cartoon series.  He also had a history of failing to make money from film. And, he had a history of failing to make money with a movie from his cartoon because of conflicts with, and bickering of other fellow citizens.  Last time, it was the Apartment, but the residents of the apartment that had been selected as a background of the ghost movie had violently objected to the movie, doing things like going to the court for filing lawsuit for injunction.  They had argued that the movie will terribly lower the apartment's price and denegrate the neighborhood's reputation because the area will be known as "haunted."  Very impressive argument.  But, they had succeeded, although not in the court, and nobody cared to watch the movie.

This time, it is rumored-or at least suspected-that the final touch of the series is being frustrated by the political faction that suppots the still-alive infamour former President.

No, I'm not trying to be political or social or whatever here.  I'm just saying that the line in the above cartoon is impressive, and that's all.  Incidentally, it applies with equal force to the author.  "Don't think.  If you think, you won't be able to finish the cartoon series.  Don't hesitate."

Good job, Mr. Kang.  You deserve big applause, and you deserve to give a final touch on it!

OKCupid

OKCupid rocks!  Not that I'm in the market or I want to meet someone over there.  It's just, um, it's a totally new concept of using the social network for a human purposes, and it completely makes sense.  Also, this services gives a positive light on the concept of online dating/matchmaking.  I hope they succeed.  From their introduction:

OkCupid has a novel matching system that learns as you use it. It gets smarter when you answer questions. So whenever you'd like to improve the accuracy & quality of your matches, click the [HOME] tab and then Improve Matches.

Well, this place is going to be reborn.  And, this time it's going to be LIfeType, which I like very much, only next to textpattern.  Textpattern is very clean, but LifeType is no less so.  Yet, LifeType is thousands of times more powerful, it seems.  I hope this time, I will keep posting here.

But, I have maintained my wiki here, so try it, too.

Regarding the look & feel, I'm going to mend it tomorrow.  I'm too tired now.
